What is the PTO?
The Coleman Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a group of parents and teachers who work together to support the school. We raise funds, plan events, and provide resources that help students, teachers, and families thrive
Mission
Our mission every year is simple: raise the funds needed to support next year’s enrichment programs, field trips, events, and classroom needs, while building a stronger, more connected school community along the way.
What We Do
The PTO works year-round to support students, teachers, and our school community. Here’s how:
Fundraising: Organizing events and drives that fund art, music, intervention programs, and field trips.
Community-Building: Hosting family nights, cultural celebrations, and fun activities that bring families together.
Teacher Appreciation: Providing meals, treats, and recognition to show gratitude for our amazing staff.
Classroom Support: Supplying extra resources, materials, and experiences that help teachers and students thrive.
Programs that we fund
Thanks to parent and community support, the PTO helps bring programs and opportunities to our students that aren’t fully covered by state or federal funding. These include:
Art & Music – creative programs that inspire imagination and self-expression
Reading Intervention – extra support to help every child grow as a reader
Field Trips – real-world experiences that expand learning beyond the classroom
Classroom Supplies – resources that help teachers and students every day
Together, these programs make our school experience richer, more engaging, and more fun for all students.
